Hi
welcome to HCM
Pain and swelling are common are common after DPT / pentavalent(Easy Five )
vaccines . But swelling usually decreases after 2-3 days , it is very uncommon that area becomes infected to require antibiotics and sometimes also drainage. So initial swelling is due to vaccine itself , but swelling come after 2-3 days , and requiring antibiotics is suggestive of infection at injection site.
Hope I answered your query
Revert back if any other query
thanks
