Hello As you mentioned that you are having cough ( severe ) ,whistling sound ( i.e. due to bronchoconstriction ) , shortness of breath , blood with mucus , duration for 2 weeks , all these symptoms may be due to these possibilities , these include. 1 Asthmatic allergic bronchitis , as all these symptoms indicate toward this. In such cases I advise montelukast+bambuterol combination , once int he night . Levofloxacin 10 mg/ kg body weight ,once in day . But , this is a prescription treatment , so consult your doctor and take a prescription . 2 Tuberculosis , diagnosis can be confirmed by X ray chest and blood for CBC, esr & sputum for AFB. 3 Septic pharyngitis ,is the another most common cause with allergy . Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by an ENT. However, there are so many other causes of such symptoms ,like pneumonitis, etc but consult a pulmonologist or chest specialist and get his opinion because as 2 weeks passed for these symptoms and in spite of Z pac there is no relief.
