Hello,

You have a history of recurrent vaginal infection. You have taken a course of anti fungals and the discomfort and irritation is still there. Take care of your hygiene, stop douching and stop the use of scented vaginal creams or lotions. Take regular bath and wear cotton clothes.

You can use anti fungal vaginal suppository, Clotrimazole vaginal suppository, (100-mg vaginal tablet), insert one tablet into the vagina at bedtime for six or seven nights in a row. Take a repeat course of anti fungals (Fluconazole) or Secnil forte orally. Vaginal irritation should go away. If it still persists you are suggested to get STD tests done to rule out sexually transmitted infections. If report is positive you will need antibiotics and antivirals. Always practice safe sex, avoid multiple partners.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
