Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query recurring infection on lips of a child after using cosmetic product is due to lip allergy. Repeated infection could be due to impetigo or staphylococcal bacterial infection. Don't use any cosmetics on it. Apply petroleum jelly to keep lips moist. Drink plenty of water. Fusidic ointment to be applied twice daily for at least 10 days. You give child oral antibiotics for 3-5 days like amoxicillin. Visit dermatologist once if symptoms keeps on persisting and get it examined and start treatment accordingly. You should not left skin dry because it will cause crack in lips and leads to further infection.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
