Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
A urine examination needs to be repeated after completion of therapy.
A urine examination needs to be done to look for evidence of infection.
If infection is present, a culture needs to be done to isolate he causative organism.
This exercise is required for resistant micro-organisms that are not cleared by routine antibiotics.
If there is not evidence of infection you can presume unprotected sexual activity.
However, your partner also needs to be screened for the presence of infection.
Urinary ract infections readily transmit by sexual contact.

Thanks and take care
