Suggest Remedy For Recurrent Skin Rash On Back, Neck And Limbs

My husband has a rash that started on the back of his neck and spread into his ears, he saw a dermatologist who scraped it and sent it to a lab and it came back as nothing but they gave him prednisone and it went away. Now the rash is back and it has spread to his arm and back of his one leg. what do we do? we are creatures of habit and we have not changed anything and he does not take any meds.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction.

I recommend using antihistamines such as Levocetirizine.

I also recommend using hydrocortisone cream for local application.

Cool showers can also be very helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
