Hi, You seem to have facial melanosis. There may be some cause. Vitamin and nutritional deficiencies,endocrinal diseases,stress,excessive sun exposure, cosmetics,photosensitivity..etc can lead to hypermelanosis. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. Skinlite suggested by your friend might cause irritation..irritant contact dermatitis, as it contains hydroquinone,which is irritant. You have already developed redness. Other side effects like confetti like depigmentation can occur. So, please stop immediately. I would like to suggest to apply kojic acid and arbutin containing cream. And sunscreen lotion may be used to protect the skin from sunrays. Orally you may take glutathion containg tablets and vitamin C tablets for long time or till good result.
