I have a u shaped rash on back and arms that I have had for a few years. I comes n goes. I was tested for Lyme disease and it was negative. They thought maybe it was ringworm and did a fungus test a couple different times and it was negative . I even had a biopsy n it did show any thing. Rash hardly itches. Rash starts smells then gets bigger
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent rashes on arms which could be due to blockage of sebaceous glands as this area has rich number of sebaceous glands. It could be due to hair follicle infection by bacteria leading to folliculitis. Need not to worry. You should maintain complete hygiene. Avoid touching or pricking rashes on arms. Keep area covered and prevent it from exposure to sunlight. You should rinse the area with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon twice a day. Take a course of Amoxicillin with Clavulanic acid twice a day for 5 days. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Drink plenty of fluids. If symptoms keeps on persisting you should go for patch test as well. Apply topical antibiotic cream such as neosporin 2% on it. take a course of antibiotic Tablet.
