Suggest Remedy For Painful Toes In A Child After Dropping Heavy Weight On Them
Hi. My 11 year old daughter just dropped a brick on her foot. She is in some pain and is sitting with her foot up and an ice pack on it. She has also had some paracetamol. There is no obvious swelling yet, but she can only wiggle her toes slightly. Is there anything else we should be doing? Thank you.

as heavy object fall on toe , so may be blunt injury . Anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen 200 mg thrice in day , rest , ice massage and above elevation will provide relief within 2-3 days. But if symptoms persist then consult an ORTHOPEDIC doctor and get an X ray of injured part to rule out any hair line fracture .
You should not worry ,if no fracture this treatment will provide relief .If hair line fracture , simple cast will provide relief .
