General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my surgical experience, the fibroids of uterus can cause various clinical disorders as

- irregular and heavy menstruation

- pelvic fullness and pain

- constipation of varying degree

- urinary symptoms of incontinence or retention in case of compression over bladder

- infertility

- bloating and low appetite if very large compressing the intestines

However, pain in the hip is not usual presentation of the uterine fibroid and additional cause of some nerve compression as sciatic, femoral nerve must be sorted out with your consultant.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
