Suggest Remedy For Pain And Soreness In Head After Injury

hi, my daughter threw her head back into my nose last night and I head a.loud click sound and I instantly got a headache between the brows. There was no bleeding and I iced it the whole night and when I woke up there was no swelling. I keep getting headaches off and on, is that normal? it doesnt look broken but still very sore to the touch, should I be worried that there may be a slight fracture? that click sound definitely scared me.

Hi there,
I am Dr. Deepak, I work in Emergency Department, where I see many of my patients with head injury. As you have mentioned you got injury to your nose while your daughter threw her head back, and then you had headache. It is very painful to touch.
I feel you had sustained mild head injury, I can tell that as you didn't loose consciousness, you didn't have any vomiting, and you are not having any problem in moving your hands and legs.
I can see that you are very worried about that click sound, I feel it was because of fracture of nasal bone or cartilage. Well the good thing is there was no bleeding and swelling. It might take some time to heal completely,
say 2-3 weeks before the pain completely goes away.
You need not to worry much, enjoy your leisure time with your daughter. You can take some painkiller for the pain.
Thank you
Hope your concern was dealt with and hope you have speedy recovery.
