Suggest Remedy For Night Sweats In Groin Area

I am 65 and for months I have been having what I think are night sweats in my groin area. The problem is bad enough that I wear a a heavy pad so I don t get the bed sheets or my night clothes wet. But I am not sure it is sweating because it has a strong urine smell when I get up in the morning. I get up at least twice a night to urinate. This seems to be worse if I take any kind of pain medication or sleep aid such as ambien. I had breast cancer last summer diagnosed as DCIS and had a left breast mastectomy. I am now on a medication called Arimadex for 5 years. The cause of the cancer was too much estrogen. Could I have some kind of infection or more serious problem?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to seborrhoea.

You can use antiperspirant or talcum powder after cleaning with soap and water.

If symptoms persist better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
