Hello, my name is Miranda I m a 19 year old female. My ovaries swell on and off again because of the amount of cyst that are on them. Because of the cyst I cannot go without a birth control according to my doctor or they would grow in size. I had the implant Nexplanon inserted into my arm at the beginning of September. I ve had very irregular periods and I ve had extreme emotional issues since. I m been severely depressed and have been having a lot of anger issues. I ve mentioned it to my doctor and she s said it should balance out with time. I ve been feeling miserable ever since I got it put in, I m struggling emotionally to an unhealthy degree. I have tried other forms other birth control and haven t had any luck with them. I have tried several oral, I was on nuvaring for almost a year (wouldn t use it again since I had bad side effects with it as well), and now the implant. I wouldn t want to try any shots or the IUD implant since I ve heard such awful things about those. Is there any other alternative birth control methods for me? Should I wait it out longer? How long would be an acceptable amount of time to wait?
