General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the itchy stretch marks during pregnancy are part of endocrine pathway with progesterone and estrogen hormone effects over the skin receptors.

* My guidelines at present

- keep the parts clean with antiseptic liquid or soap
- local application of calamine lotion for soothing purpose
- alternate use of aloe vera gel or turmeric paste do help through their ayurvedic properties
- balanced nutritious diet to combat best immunity
- avoid smoking if consuming
- if severe itching, use cetrizine or loratidine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
