General & Family Physician 's  Response
It seems you suffered deep venous thrombosis after hip replacement. But 9months is a long period, when was last ultrasound done and what was clot size and number of clots.Cause of such complication may be long duration surgery and delayed ambulation after surgery.I would like to request you not to do any sort of exertion or weight bearing on affected foot, repeat ultrasound and get proper treatment for DVT by some good surgeon or hematologist.
Treatment may include oral blood thinners medications, injection of heparin and magsulph dressings on affected leg and pain killers.Having ample amount of water intake is also advised. But I repeat sir please do not move around with Venous thrombus in leg as it can lead to dreaded complication of embolism which is movement of clot from original place to anywhere else and that may be your heart and may lead to sudden death,so please take it seriously and follow as above advised.
Thank you and hope it would help you to get rid of your pain.
