Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been having irregular heart beats when I get stressed or after I eat. I do have high blood pressure taking medication for that, also I am dieting as I m over weight, however I do walk every day. Does this sound serious? I just had a physical this summer and everything was ok.
I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem. Irregular heart beat is quite a common phenomenon, it's seriousness depends upon the type and number of irregular beats you are having.
Usually in people who have them in episodes, these are PVCs , or SVT, to diagnose there are many tools, like Holter's which checks you heart rhythm for 24 hours and gives all the details after 24 hours I would suggest you to contact your doctor and discuss these options.
I hope this answered your question, if you have more queries I am happy to answer you.
Regards, Dr. Muhammad Ahmad
