Suggest Remedy For Headache Post Facial Injury During A Game
I was playing basketball and took a shoulder to the face. Hit me in my mouth/jaw area and my head went back a little and I heard a crunch in my neck. For about 2 minutes after that it felt kind of numb but then it just started hurting bad. I ve had a headache ever since. Should I be worried or just take some pain relief and move on?
As per your query you have headache since facial injury . The long-term headaches are called post-traumatic or post-concussion headaches. In most of the cases headache after injury occur due to events such as a concussion (bruise) or laceration (tear) of the brain . I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper examination and to find out exact cause . Neurologist may order proper neurological examination like CT scan or MRI . Treatment will depend upon findings or abnormalities shown by these tests . Doctor may precribe anti inflammatory or tricyclic antidepressants . For now start some relaxing technique like meditation .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
