Suggest Remedy For Haematoma In Scrotum Post Hydrocele Surgery

After hydrocele surgery a tennis ball like haematoma (haematocele?) has been formed in my scrotum (the surgery took place 3 months before). The doctor advised a new surgery. How risky this new surgery would be? Is an ultrasonic examination before surgery sufficient, or some other method (e.g. CT) can also help to reduce surgery risks?
