Suggest Remedy For Ear Problem

Dear Doctor, I have muffled hearing and a stuffed up feeling in my left ear. There s no pain with it at all it just literally feels like someones pushed a piece of cotton wool to the back of my ear. I went to the nurse today thinking it was wax but she looked and said there was none there at all and could see my ear drum clearly. I am going to make a doctors appointment to see what he says but there s a long waiting list so would appreciate some enlightening very soon please as it s upsetting and annoying to have this feeling and I m worried. Thanks in advance!

Hello,

It may be due to otitis externa.

For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.

Heating pads also helps.

In case of ear discharge you may require antibiotics after ENT consultation.

Maintain proper hygiene

Hope I have answered your query and let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale
