Suggest Remedy For Dizziness And Fatigue Due To Lack Of Sleep

I don't have any problems falling asleep. But, getting up around 3:30 - 4 AM has become a routine. I will struggle hard without much success to regain my lost sleep. As a result, during the day mostly until noon I am extremely dizzy and fatigued. Could you please suggest types of investigations required or remedies or any suggestions you may have. Thank you in advance.

Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. You have no problems in getting asleep but have awakenings in nights and later you fail to sleep in night. This is causing significant loss of sleep and ultimately resulting in dizziness, day time fatigue and drowsiness. The history suggest intermittent insomnia and I would advise you to visit a psychiatrist for help. Sleep studies can help to find out exact physiological abnormality in sleep but these are not necessary because these symptoms can be treated easily with medicines. Long acting drugs like Zolpidem xr can help in good refreshing sleep. The drug can be used for short durations and with time your sleep will normalise. If symptoms persist even after that then medicines like Mirtazapine, Trazodone etc can help. These are anti-depressant medicines and are found to be very useful in insomnia also. These are safe drugs and are free of serious side effects. Please visit a doctor to get prescription of these drugs.

Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
