Hi. I am a 62 year old healthy female. I have been getting cystic like pimples on my nose and also a few on my cheek area close to the nose over the past few months. They clear up very slowly and sometimes seen to leave a spot even though the cystic like pimple has gone. Pus only when I try to pop. I am on a good skin care line. Very frustrated. What to do?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have cystic pimples on face around nose and cheek area which occur because skin has increased sensitivity of getting pigmented and clogging of dead skin and bacteria leads to formation of pus in that and due to impaired immunity of body. I would suggest you to wash your face daily with cold water and face wash containing salycylic acid twice a day and apply cream containing azelac acid which is good for pimples. You should drink plenty of fluids and avoid oily, sharp and greasy food. If condition doesn't get well in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocyclin, steroid ointment and may recommend chemical peeling for marks.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
