Cracking of heels are also known as Heel Fissures can cause deep crevices in the heels.. It can occur due to bad feet hygiene, walking without shoes,over weight,standing for long durations, fungal infection, high heels worn for long hours and poor fitting shoes, conditions like diabetes, kidney diseases,thyroid disorders and circulation problems can also be a cause.. Cotaryl cream is an effective formula and you can use it regularly.. -Start wearing footwear or slippers while walking. -Soften your heels daily by soaking in a solution of mild shampoo in water and use a pumice stone to scrub the dead skin off.. -Apply Petroleum jelly to keep the heels soft as it will help in healing.. -You should drink plenty of water to maintain hydration.. -Apply a combination of antiseptic and antifungal creams over the heels.. -Heel cups can be worn to help in reducing strain over heels and promotion of healing..
