Suggest Remedy For Cough With Wheezing

My nine year old daughter has had a cough since October. She has been on steroids, antibiotics, albuterol, delura, mucinex. Nothing is working and she is coughing up thick mucous. If you listen with a stethoscope she has wheezing in her lower right lung on inspiration but a chest xray shows normal. We are very concerned. What should we do?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Since you have already gone through a lot of oral medications, please consider switching over to inhaled medicines. These will be very likely to work. Inhaled steroids will also be needed as we need to prevent her from getting these attacks. Please visit asthma.uk site for more details on how to control pediatric asthma. If you are averse to researching on your own, you can always request for such information from her pediatrician.
