Suggest Remedy For Constant Hunger, Frequent Headaches And Dizziness

I am always hungry and if i don t eat every 2-3 hours i get shakey and weak. I get frequent headaches 3-4 times a week. I am always tired and cold. I have been testing my blood sugar and it seems within the normal range. (low 80 s in the morning and before meals and around 110 after meals). The other day I went to get up in the morning and I felt extremely dizzy, weak, and uncoordinated (much like being drunk). As soon as I would stand up I would feel dizzy and like I was going to vomit. Tried sipping on apple juice and attempted soup but couldn t stomach it. Sat up and vomited everywhere. After I vomited I felt slightly better. Blood pressure at that time was 120/80, pulse ox 98%. Nothing seems to explain the way I always feel. Please help! History: I am a 32 year old mother of 2. I had 2 c-sections at 8 months. First was a placental abruption with no apparent reason. Went into early labor at 8 months with second. No other surgeries, no other significant medical history. No prescription or over the counter drugs or supplements.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.

Based on your history I can think of 2 reasons,

01) Hypoglycaemia: Normal Fasting blood glucose level should be between 70 to 110mg/dl. You have mentioned your glucose level when fasting as low 80. In some persons bllod sugar level below 80mg/dl can cause these kind of symptoms.

02) Thyroid disorder: Your symptoms are consistent with thyroid disorder.

However, there may be other reasons also.It is difficult to come to a diagnosis without any investigations. So, I suggest you to take emergency help if possible. You need to be evaluated as early as possible.

Hope this helps.

If you have any other queries, feel free to ask.

Regards,
Dr.Prathap Kumar
