Suggest Remedy For Congestion Due To Cold In Children
Hi.my 2yr old son has cold since saturday and i ve been using decongestant to make him feel better through the night but what bothers me is that he always seems like swallowing saliva everytime and sometimes he would look like he s choking.what should I do?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of congestion due to cold which is due to increased susceptibility of getting infected and severe upper respiratory tract infection along with wheezing.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult pediatrician for proper checkup and may order certain tests like blood test, throat swab test and prescribe paranasal sinus x-ray examination as well and start treatment accordingly. You should take plenty of fluids. Avoid giving child cold beverages. Give child proper rest and try to lay child to one side. Give child proper course of antibiotic medications.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
