Suggest Remedy For Chronic Pain In The Hand Upon Using
My right hand hurts all the time and more so when I am active with it. It is painful to the touch in the palm of my hand. A doctor suggested it was carpal tunnel, but I don t have any signs of carpal tunnel. It feels like I broke my hand though have done nothing to do so.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Pain in hand can occur due to various causes like musculoskeletal disorder, fracture, soft tissue injury, etc. A X-ray of the and and wrist will help to assess the bones of hand and wrist. In case there is any kind of fracture of the bones, it will be picked up on X-ray and can be managed. Carpal tunnel syndrome is characterized by aching pain in between elbow and wrist and numbness especially while using hand, forearm and wrist. Management of carpal tunnel syndrome is with physical therapy using diathermy, splints and surgical intervention if required. However, it is first important to diagnose the condition. I suggest you to consult an orthopedician for clinical assessment and diagnosis so that management can be done.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
