Hello, I have had cervical fusion (C5-C7) with human cadaver bone graft this past December. I have had difficulty breathing through my nose along with more than usual phlegm. A massage therapist recently told me that the surgery I had on my neck and the sinus problems afterwards are very common. Is there anything else that can be done aside from using a nasal spray 2-3 times a day?
you need to consult a Pulmonologist who can assess by requesting a chest X-ray or a X-ray of sinuses to rule out any other cause
steam inhalation 2-4 times per day will help you a lot leukotreine inhibitors like monteleukast may be considered depending on your physician if phlegm or nasal secretions are yellow purulent or foul smelling , antibiotics may be needed
thanks feel free to ask more questions
