Suggest Remedy For Blister On The Upper Palate Post Tissue Graft Surgery

Hi I had a minor tissue graph procedure done to protect my teeth that are recessing a week ago. I have developed a large blister on the roof of my mouth where they cut from. It burst this morning and is now back again. How do I stop it for good? Can I use a needle to open it up again before it chooses when it wants to do it?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

Blisters on upper palate post tissue graft surgery is due to lack of shaping of gingival tissue of graft due to which irritation is caused by rough surfaces and causes two types of blisters in mouth. One occur on the plate i.e roof of cavity giving feeling like a burn and other occur near tooth site. Need not to worry take painkillers for this condition. Visit dentist for gingivoplasty i.e reshaping and smoothing of gingiva. No you should not use needle at all as it will cause widespread of infection and leads to septicemia. Maintain basic oral hygiene.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
