My husband had a catheter put in after back surgery because he couldn t eliminate his urine. He is now in a care facility and it has been 7 days since surgery. It looks like the help put tape around the tubing that irritated his legs but also his penis. It has swelled up and they took out the catheter. They had clamped the tubing on and off all day to help with the sensation of having to eliminate and he had bladder pressure so they unclamped and that help with the bladder issue, but then the tape was pulling on his skin and we looked at his penis and it really scared him. Do you have any thoughts on this bizarre happening.
