Suggest Remedy For Anxiety While Weaning Off Flonase

Have been using 2 squirts of Flonase each nostril for years (at least 10), using Flonase for at least 20 years every day 364 days a year. Because I suffer from extreme anxiety and continual heart palpatations - I have been told to use only 1 squirt of Flonase each nostril. The withdrawal from just that one dose being removed is making me crazy. I am spacey, very anxious, and just can not function. It has been 3 weeks yesterday since I started the withdrawal. How long does it normally take for the spacey out of this world like my face is going to explode feeling to go away? I am NOT looking forward to withdrawing completely. Thank you for any response you might give. My Nurse Practitioner tells me this is normal as Flonase is a steriod. And steriod withdrawal is very unpredictable in each individual.

Hello,

Flonase is used for nasal allergy. Taking it for so long may cause the symptoms of withdrawal as its a steroid even though its only for local application. But you will come out of it soon , say a week to 10 days. You must reduse the dose.
