Suggest Remedy For Anxiety Attacks

so my names Matt Im 19 going to be 20 in 2 days. so to start off i was having i guess what they call anxiety attacks for about week and a half . i went to the docs and my doc gave me LEXAPRO it was 10MG and i took it once just one pill and man i started feeling really funny. i could not sleep, sweating , head was just feeling really weird like i just was not me the right side of my head was in so much Dissconfort i feel like i was dieing so to sa. just worst them the anxiety attack. i started twitching when i tried to sleep my head felt loopy. all this over the first pill. i was also on xaniox i just want to know whats going on with me. i feel better after a week but not 100% what can i do.

Hello thanks for asking from HCM

You have complaints of anxiety attacks and are advised to take Lexapro 10 mg. Lexapro is escitalopram and is a SSRI drug. You developed sudden rise in anxiety, insomnia, sweating, restlessness when you took first dose of medicines. It is common to develop rebound rise in anxiety when escitalopram is started in any individual. This is commonly seen for about 6-7 days and then the drug start acting. I would advise you to start the drug again and start with low doses. Starting with 5 mg doses for first 2 weeks and then increasing the dose to 10 mg will prevent such anxiety. Consult your psychiatrist for detailed prescription of drug again.
