Suggest Remedy For An Infected Toe Nail With Pus Discharge
I have half ripped toenail 2 days ago. I dried the blood flowed and covered it with dettol antiseptic cream and band aid. I did not let water get contated with my toe until last night (wrapped with platic while showering) and it now have a clear pus developed after i ooze out the remaining white pus. Im scared of going to doctor. So i now use betadine and let it dry. The swelling almost gone from two days ago. Is it good to soak my foot with salt and warm water every now and then, and apply betadine again after that? and can i wear shoes from tomorrow onwards with my toe wrapped with band aid? Please help
You can send me a photo in order to give you a better opinion if you can manage it by yourself or you need to visit a surgeon to clean the wound. Also you should continue cleaning with betadine every two days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
