My daughter is adhd child she is 8yrs and on medicine axpecta18mg yt thr is no improve ment in her teacher complain she wont write her notes distract the class and hit each child i m worried please help me wat can me done or ther diffrent school for them adhd going to last her whole life please i m totally depressed with wat to do
Hi, thanks for asking. I can understand your concerns. If she is not improving with axepta then you may shift her to stimulant medications like methylphenidate. You can talk to your doctor regarding this. I would also suggest you get her behavioural analysis done by a psychologist or the school counsellor as to what causes her behaviour of hitting others. She will benefit with sensory integration therapy. It would be better to seat her in class where there are minimum distractions and the teacher can remind her frequently to complete her work. I would not recommend a special school for her. She should be in a normal school. ADHD usually persists life long but some children do grow out of it. With medications and therapy it can be well controlled. I hope I have helped you. Thank you
