Hi my name is Sam, 39yr, male, i've had Barretts Esophagus for 2 years now, two months ago i suffered a muscle strain in my chest and healed, today I woke up with a sharp localized pain in the middle of my chest i thought it was like acid reflux due to my Barretts but at noon i looked and saw a pink spot where the pain is (near the opening of stomach to the right also near where i had the muscle strain near the right ribs). Please tell me what this is.

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, acid peptic disease can cause such symptoms, as you have hyperacidity can be well managed with the drug called proton pump inhibitor like Tab Omeprazole 40 mg with Tab Domperidone 10 mg once in day and it has to be taken at evening time and it has to be taken for six week along with the drug therapy care need to be take for diet too, try to avoid the spicy food, heavy meal particularly prior to bed avoid taking alcohol and smoking, be stress free, hope this information helps.
