Suggest Remedies For Soreness And Pain In Right Nostril

Hi my nose has been very sore on the right hand side for the last day or two, Had pain on the other side last week that went away for a few days but this is very sore to the touch on the inside and outside of right nostril, and it's making my nose red on the right side.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of soreness and pain in right nostril. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like allergic rhinitis ,anterior ethmoidal nerve neuralgia , atrophic rhinitis , cocaine abuse , nasal polyp and furuncle. Need not to worry. Avoid touching or pricking nose. For now apply warm compresses to nostril , take steam twice a day and do nasal saline rinses . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order certain test like nasal endoscopy , CT scan , blood test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , anti inflammatory , anti allergic and may recommend surgery in case of nasal polyp.
