Suggest Remedies For Sore Throat And Excess Saliva Production
Right side of my throat hurts a lot although I have been using an antibiotic for 5 days now. I felt good for 2-3 days this morning got worse. I have pain swallowing but there is constant saliva produced. Please advice what should I do and why the saliva constantly filling my mouth?
I ave gone through your query regarding painfull degulitition and excess salivation. As you said that you are having sore throat for about one week and you are taking antibiotic also, initially you got the responce but after 3 days your pain and excess salivation revert back.
As per your symptoms it appears as your right tonsil is inflammed and because of severe pain you are able to saliva therefore it is accumulating in mouth cavity. Other possibility is of right sided acute sialoadenitis of submandibular salivary gland because as this gland gets inflammed, patient develops same symptoms as you are having.
It will be adviceable to consult your ENT doctor for identification of site and type of infection which may be decided by only clinical examination and few basic investigations. Than only anybody may plan for treatment.
Regards.
