Suggest Remedies For Post Nasal Drip

I had post nasal drip. I was put on Zyrtec, Flonase, Allegra and singular. Went to allergist Wednesday and he said that my nose inside was swollen. He prescribed qnasl and I ann going back this week for allergy scratch test. I am going to an ent Monday. My smell is not working . Is this because of the swelling and can the ent help me?

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of post nasal drip which is due to upper respiratory tract infection as post nasal drip is clear indication of infection. It can also occur due to condition like sinusitis. I would suggest you to take Anti-inflammatory medications such as Tylenol or Motrin may help reduce any infection. Gargle warm saline rinses as well as do betadine gargles along with steam inhalation. Visit ENT specialist once and get some routine blood investigation done. Go for proper examination and then start treatment accordingly. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. You should take steam inhalation along with vaporizers. Avoid extreme spicy and salty food. Take diet rich in multivitamins.
