Suggest Remedies For Painful Itchy Scalp

There are no doctors anywhere near where I live, so I haven t seen a doctor in years and am in my 70 s. Several weeks ago I developed what I think (emphasis on think) is seborhea (spelling?) on my scalp - It is crusty, itches and is very painful. Is there anything I can do to get rid of it? Currently I m just applying tea tree oil.

hi,
thank you for putting a query on HCM.
sir, as per you history, u have seborrhea scalp which is caused by a fungus, malassezia. oil application aggravates growth of a fungus.
i would suggest you to stop applying tea tree oil. and for treatment, you can apply betasalic lotion(betamethasone + salicyclic acid ) at night and wash your scalp with ketoconazole+znpto shampoo atleast twice a week. also you can take oral antifungal like tablet fluconazole 150 mg once a week.
thank you.
