Suggest Remedies For Pain In The Face And Arms After Smoking Methamphetamine

smoked crystal meth today for the first time ever. It wasn t that much. About four hours after my last hit, I began to feel numb in my face, arms, and legs. Within twenty minutes of the onset of the numbness, my hand/ facial muscles constricted and I couldn t move them at all. It wasn t painful; it felt like the feeling you get when your leg falls asleep or something. However, then, I had trouble breathing and the muscle constriction in my arms and face became painful. All of this set in within thirty minutes. The numbness, frozen muscles, and pain didn t subside for another hour. What caused this? Did I have an allergic reaction to the crystal meth? i am a male, 5 5 and weigh about 145 pounds, and i am twenty years old

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It looks like either you are allergic to Meth or have been using it for a prolonged period of time. Avoid it & visit a Physician & get immediate medical support.

Meth is a highly potent & deadly addictive opioid. Its long term use will cause Peripheral Neuropathy & you are too young to develop such an illness.

It may cause numbness in the arms, face or feet. It may cause joint pain & muscle ache, dizziness & fatigue.

Take plenty of water, ORS, soups & juices to maintain the electrolyte balance f your body. Stay hydrated.

Get treated for the developing Neuropathy. You need to see a Neurologist, get Nerve Conduction test, Nerve biopsy & Imaging (EEG) tests done. You need medications.

In the meantime stay away from addictions, take the help of a GP or Counselor, Take food rich in B6, B12, Folic acid, minerals like iron, magnesium, Zinc & calcium. You can take vitamin supplements.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
