Hi,
The commonest causes for noise coming from ears are one of the following.
* Inflammation of
cochlea secondary to viral infection.
* Fluid development in middle ear due to infection from nose via Eustachian tube.
* Wax causing
tinnitus is rare.
* Hence I would advise you the following:
Consult an ENT Surgeon for an actual examination of ears, nose and throat to find the primary cause.
* If wax is present then removal will show the
eardrum and any inflammation or fluid development.
* If there is inflammation being a cause then you have to take a course of an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medicine and decongestant as would be advised by your ENT Surgeon.
* Do not blow nose.
* No exposure to extreme
cold or hot air.
* Complete the course till cured and any further investigations like
Audiometry as would be suggested.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
