Suggest Remedies For Low WBC Count In Blood

I have been low red blood cell count for some time and in the last year had an infusion to raise it up. It worked after about 6 weeks and I felt better. Now I am getting ready for a total right knee replacement and had some standard blood work in preperation for that. My doctor called me afternoon and said she wanted me to see a hemotologist because now I have low white blood cell count. What the heck could be happening? \

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The white blood cells are produced from the progenitor cells in the bone marrow.

Persistently low levels of WBC narrate underlying hematological abnormality due to immune-related disorders or else.

Kindly fix an appointment with your hematologist and proceed for detailed work up as per his or her advise.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
