Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am suffering from very itcht skin. Mostly on my lower leg. It also feels very hot to the touch. I have tried everything over the counter and allergy pills. It is mainly at night that it bothers me. Nothing seems to stop the itching. I am ready to cut my lower leg off.
I am of the opinion that -
1. Consult a physician regarding your problem as such symptoms are common in iron deficiency anemia.
2. Kindly get a complete hemogram to rule out anemia. You need to eat citrus fruits like oranges followed by iron-rich food like dates so that it can help you to replenish iron resources.
3. Also, please get your blood sugar levels checked to rule out insulin intolerance.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Riyanka Chail, General & Family Physician
