Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes! Very much obliged to you. About six weeks ago, while walking across a busy intersection in downtown Boston I was slightly struck by a bus turning the corner on a red light. Immediately I put out my arms to brace myself against the side of the bus, but unfortunately I felt a nudge in my left hip as the side of the bus bumped that location. Now it is over a month later and the hip is still sometimes in pain, sometimes okay. Using WebMD I have tentatively deduced that the pain may be from a hip labral tear. But I don t have any clicking or locking of the hip. There was/is no severe pain as in a broken bone but the hip joint is definitely not all right. With lots of use or heavy lifting the pain increases.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to muscle strain or ligament injury most likely. But it is better to rule out any bony injury by doing a X ray of hip joint. Muscle relaxants like cyclobenzaprine , NSAIDs like aceclofenac and physiotheerapy will be helpful to get recovered from this. You can also do warm compress and apply gels contain NSAIDs like ketoprofen or Diclofenac.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
