General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Eye floaters often go away on their own in a few weeks or months. However, you are suggested to get clinically examined by an Ophthalmologist to check if your vision is impaired.

You may need surgery if your eye floaters impair your vision. Surgery to remove the vitreous or laser to disrupt the floaters.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
