I have 6 enlarged lymph nodes, the largest being 1.6 cm (solid mass) in my neck area. In 2006 I had the right-side of my thyroid removed due to a tumor inside of the thyroid organ (encased in large amount of scar tissue) that they (Langley AFB) later said declared undetermined. 10 years later I am more tired than ever, and can feel many cervical lymph nodes (that have been there for about 2 years now) and a few large ones also in my groin area just recently. Ultrasound showed lymph nodes on my neck and so did CT scan. ENT Dr. says that he has seen 1.6cm before and that the other 5 he considers not normal or abnormal. He just wants to sit and wait it out to see what happens. Personally, I would like to have some energy back and not need to take an hour- two hour nap everyday. Blood work and chest x-ray have all come back fine. They were going to do a PET scan but they decided not to at the last minute. What recommendations or test do you suggest? Also is it normal to have 6 nodes in neck area (+2 groin area) be enlarged for such a long period of time? One last thing when I get tired I can really feel the pressure against my trachea in the same area they removed my thyroid against my jugular. If I rest, and wake up it gives me some relief. I can t help but think these things are some how all connected. I feel like no doctor is able to give me any answers/relief/energy. I am a military spouse/prior vet, 36 yr old white, with 4 kids. I also have an appt with an endocrinologist at the end of July and am hoping to get somewhere there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Angel Trevino
