General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Phlegm in throat is mostly caused by post nasal discharge. I will recommend you steam inhalation, warm fluids, along with antihistaminics. Also, a course of antibiotics like amoxiclav will help. Continue with Mucinex and Flonase. Avoid smoking if you smoke. ENT consultation is recommended.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akash Kumar
