Hello,

Things like break up with a boyfriend or girlfriend sometimes leave a big impact and make a person feel depressed for a long time. At this time parents are the real support along with friends. Its good that you are concerned over your daughter’s condition and seeking medical help. I would suggest you to talk to your daughter and encourage her as she is already having so many things in life with so many people to love so because of one person due to break up its not the end. It takes time but its worth.

She needs your constant support, if you handle her patiently then she will overcome this and who else can do it better than parents. Make her mix with her friends rather than letting her stay alone and think about the same thing. Even after this she feels the same way then I suggest you to take her to a psychiatrist because counselling sessions help a lot to open up while a person feels stressed. The doctor might suggest some medicines if needed. She also can try meditation which will help her to calm down and elevate the mood.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
