Hi I am taking uromax 0.4mg sr in conjunction with ciprobay xr 1000mg for the past 3 days The pain over the abdominal and kidney area is almost nill However, I am still struggling to have a bowl evacuation What can I do to begin to have normal bowl movement Thank you
Constipation can be difficult to have to go through.
Treatment would normally involve the following: (1) use enough fluids- at least 8 glasses of fluids should be used daily. This would not include caffeine products or alcohol because these cause the body to lose fluids
(2)physical activity if possible
(3)make sure to use enough fiber- this means using at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily, with main meals and in between
Also use whole grain foods along with this
(4)consider a dietary supplement such as metamucil, cetrucil or benefiber since it is sometimes difficult to get this fiber from diet Start at the lowest amount (once daily) and move up till you get to the level of bowel movements that may you comfortable
I hope this helps
