Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have Sjogren Syndrome and heavy vasculitis. From minor touch I easily get wounds and bruises on the lower legs and they seem to be healing ever slower. Doctor says blood is fine. Would you recommend taking vitamin B mix supplement or rather only B12?
Study shows that Sjogren syndrome in some patients is related to vitamin B12 deficiency. In my opinion you should take vitamin B & B12 mix supplements.
Do continue to take the medicines prescribed by your treating doctor. The recommended diet for the Sjogren's syndrome is food rich in anti-inflammatory effects such as green leafy vegetables, nuts, fruits, ginger, garlic, fatty fish, avocado, olive oil, cucumbers.
Diet is not a cure but it can help treat symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
