Suggest Precaution And Preparation For A Child Birth

I am 6 months pregnant and trying to emotionally prepare for childbirth. I am 24 and this is my first pregnancy. My husband and I were married over the summer and I had excessive pain loosing my virginity. I normally consider myself to deal rather well with pain, however I did not deal well at all with that pain. I thought the more we had sex the more used to it I would get but after a week of trying (including conceiving our baby) I was still finding it painful. After doing some research I read about excercises to control the muscles so that it would not hurt. I have found that to be successful, however I am worried this will cause a problem with childbirth. Is there something I could do to prepare?

Hello dear,,i understand your concern. In my opinion the pain during intercourse is called dyspaerunia. It is of two types like superficial or deep depending on the causes. In case of normal vaginal delivery the resistance offered by pelvic bones decide if the delivery is possible or not but not soft tissues. So dont worry.Practice antenatal yoga and walking daily for 1/2 an hour.
Best regards...Dr.Srilatha
